Crop Sweater

Winter is coming!  Its actually already here...! Not my fav season to be outdoors, but I loooooooove that its also the holiday season, and so I'm willing to put up with the layers that come with it!My days in New Zealand were definitely sweater weather... so one one beautiful drive toward Lake Mahinapua, I totally had to bring sweater swag!

I've been on the hunt for a cute crop sweater and was mostly disappointed coz most sweaters I've noticed in the stores are kinda boxy. I wouldn't even try them on coz they looked so unstructured.My hubby was with me this one evening before Black Friday and picked out this utterly boxy crop sweater at Express and insisted I try it on.. and I was in LOVE!Look how cute!We tried skipping stones, mine made it through 2 hops.. not terrible for a first timer :) The details around the neck and the sleeves are my fav on any sweater I've owned. They're cute, they're crop and they're textured. i love all the details on this !! The hubby and I spend some time just by the lake. Not a soul in sight, the entire lake was ours! Thank god I was warm in this cozy winter piece! I goofed around with the flat stones quite a bit and my hubby was amused at how unskilled I was at skipping stones :) Ferns are of course what surrounds New Zealand, given the silver fern is their national symbol! I picked a few to bring home!
