Fast forward a few decades and the pleated skirt has risen to limelight again this season, this time in shimmering metallic shades of gold, silver, rose gold and emerald green.

I was on the edge when these started to show up in fashion houses and runways, but seeing how versatile they are and how much fun you can have dressing them up or down... I'm a FAN! I wore this out for a Saturday brunch with my hubby! Love how dressy it can be, but I'm just walking around Mountain View like I'm in jeans :) You can pair the gold metallic pleated skirt with a dressy black top - here I picked up something in a delicate woolen knit with strappy back details. I though about what shoes to wear, and I decided to try on my silver pumps to see how well it goes with the gold and the back... I have to say, I like it! :) Not a typical pairing, and could look like too much bling, but I think the muted gold keeps the gleem below overwhelming levels ! :) My trusted Louis Vuitton Alma PM always my go-to... whether I dress up or down !That's why I love it!
