Boho Farmhouse Bedroom Decor

A little boho, a little Farmhouse... I couldn't decide so I went with both :) While I love bohemian styling, I also need my bedroom to be cozy and warm! Hence - "Boho Farmhouse" is my style!

I'm gonna focus on how I styled my bedroom today - for it was DULL as heck! Generously spacious with high ceilings and a patio that overlooks lush green fields, but overall the bedroom looked boring.

WALL DECOR

The first thing I did was Stencil my walls. This was a tedious 7 hour process but OMG the outcome is to last me years of gratification! Here's a fill link to my tutorial!

BED:

Next was to change up my bedroom furniture with a large King size bed with tufted nailhead trim headboard. Its one of my favorite affordable beds from WayFair!

The nightstands are one of my favorite finds. I'd been looking for distressed wood rustic end tables at World Market and they were gorgeous but so pricy. Luckily I found these at Home Goods at $79 a pop and grabbed 2 of them before they were all gone!

LIGHTING

I've gone from having huge lamp shades - which served me really well as I had tall vaulted ceilings and wanted accent noticeable lampshades to stand out in my decor... to completely doing away with table lamps! Ever since I discovered Cafe Lights, I have them all over my patio... and I wondered why they can't be used indoors?! I got LED Edison bulbs and bought one string and hung them up to see what they looked like. Haven't looked back since...! These lights definitely got me a step closer to having a that Bohemian styled bedroom!

MATTRESS:

Our mattress though is really what ties it all perfectly for us! Ours is a King Sized mattress from Tuft & Needle - easily my favorite out there! They deliver it right to your doorstep! Check out my unboxing video below:

BEDDING

The bedding in white is from Beddy's - one of my favorites again. Especially if you have children, Beddy's has a zipper around so you don't really have a comforter in addition to the bedding. Its all one piece and it just zips up. No making the bed or folding the comforter with Beddy's!

PLANTS

You can tell I love plants in my decor, everywhere! All my plants are faux :D From Target and Home Goods mostly! You never know if you have TOO many plants and I went from have too few to too many, and I'm still not happy haha. My rule of thumb is, add greenery to fill the void. Tall plants like Fiddle figs or Bamboos or palms work great in corners, especially beside some furniture like an Accent Chair or a Bed frame. Smaller plants are great as accents, on a table top, night stands, shelving and so on...

CORNERS

On one side, I have a cozy wingback chair by our Patio, in the corner of my bedroom beside the nightstand on the right. That's where my hubby sits every other night with his guitar. This really ties the room together, and adds an additional seating in the room, especially on the days you want to sip your tea by the patio! (as seen in pics above)

On the other side, I have a lovely wide Mirror mounted on the wall, perfectly sized for me to get ready! I have a ton of throw pillows and throws that need a place to hide, and so I have a little tufted bench with nailhead trim (to match my headboard) which serves as a cute seating as well as storage!

Of all the people that enjoy the bed the most, its really my pup Bailey who's found in bed, amidst all the throw pillows and the blankets, cozying away like there's not a worry in the world! Here's a lil sneak peak at my mutt and his cuteness!
