Hotel Review: ME by Melia in London

Valentine's week in the heart of London's most exclusive neighborhood - ME London gifted my husband and me a surreal dream!

Overlooking the Strand in London's West End, ME London is a luxurious dream for any traveler. Surrounded by theaters, boutiques, nightclubs, the location is like no other!

The interiors of ME are an art lover's dream - tasteful art, modern chic decor and eclectic design come together to mesmerize you as you float through the pyramid high lobby into the hallways and to your room!

The entire experience is personalized with luxury at every glance and comfort and convenience on every aspect. Not a surprise to anyone that ME London was one of the Conde Nast Traveller's Hotel list in 2013.

Location -

This takes the cake. In the middle of all things iconic of London - Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Somerset House, House of Parliament and St. Paul's Cathedral, ME London is situated for the hungry traveler looking to grasp everything he can!

I was there for London Fashion Week as a blogger and to my glee, the hotel, the streets and the showrooms which were only couple mins from the hotel were swarming with models, bloggers, press and fashion gurus. It was everything I was hoping to experience and more!

For a night out on town, ME is centrally located around some of London's best theaters, shopping districts, fashion hot spots and the trendiest night clubs!

Atmosphere -

Being a cosmopolitan hub, the decor is inviting of the international traveler. The avant-garde hotel boasts beautifully innovative design and contemporary music - everywhere you go. Exploring the hotel from lobby, through corridors, elevators, to the rooftop and in the rooms, the music keeps a bounce in your step!

Night time in the hotel is a romantic blend of candle lights and champagne glass clinks! My husband and I spent Valentine's day just floating past the candles, music in our head, fashion all around us... !

Room -

Designed by world famous architects Foster and Partners, every detail in ME London's 157 rooms has been considered. Sleek and cutting edge, we are all about the traveller who is all about style. We were incredibly lucky to spend our days in one of their 16 suites that offer the next level of luxury with a personalized service without boundaries.

Our suite comprised of a living room with a couch, TV, the huge mini-bar filled with goodies, fur throw, floor length window overlooking the Strand... a bedroom as large with a yet another massive private TV and a floor length window.

Walking in, we were met with a chilled bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us! Panoramic views from the floor length window, we were overlooking the busiest of streets the Strand while sipping on bubbles!

We slipped into robes and got into what could be one of the most comfortable bedrooms I've spent my evenings in!Possibly one of the largest and most beautiful bathrooms in the heart of London,  The bathroom completely blew us away! Huge bath tub with candles and bubbles inviting us, rain showers for 2 and a full vanity to indulge in. We of course wasted no time to take a dip :)

STK Restaurant -

We were invited to experience International fine dining from New York, with STK London and Radio Rooftop Bar. We got ready in their lovely dressing table offering convenient US style charging points.

Enjoying a bit of New York chic at STK steak restaurant and cocktail lounge where the DJ’s created the ultimate party. Cucina Asellina serves rustic Italian fare in chic, industrial surroundings, perfect for lunch, dinner or cocktails.

Radio Bar -

Mesmerized by the unreal panoramic views, we and a few friends clinked to fine Prosecco as we kissed the sky at Radio Rooftop. With sweeping views of London’s most iconic buildings and neighborhoods served up alongside inventive cocktails and tapas, we had the most memorable evening despite the freezing winter weather! :)

Breakfast -

If you need anything more than you've already seen, well the breakfast spread will have you spellbound! From croissants, to scrambled eggs made to order, to flat whites, to cakes, scones, fruits, prosciutto ... there was almost nothing my appetite was left craving!

Amenities -

Designed by the world famous architects Foster and Partners, every detail at ME London is a work of art - both functional and beautiful! With 7 meeting rooms with a capacity for up to 300 people with separate reception area and a modern, fully equipped gym, open 24 hours a day, you can spend your busy week and your fabulous weekend all in one place - ME London has everything you need and more.

All in all, we were blown away by the luxury, the location and the service, and would be sure to return again!
