Farmhouse Bedroom

This has been troubling me for a while now...I kinda hate how dull my bedroom looked!

First thing I did was to stencil my wall and I thought that would do it...

In fact Cutting Edge stencil published a post on my stencil work here: http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/blog/stenciled-damask-wallpaper-in-a-master-bedroom.html

But I am still not loving the overall look. So, I decided to paint my furniture and change up my bedding and pillows. Going farmhouse is hard without changing a lot around the room - but here's a start :)I decided to turn the room white - with gold hints. That meant painting my wood stained furniture and the sheets... here's what I did:1. A ton of white and gold throw pillows from Marshalls.

A lovely white textured quilt3. A thick diamond textured grey faux fur throw4. Painted my nightstands white with gold edges5. A rustic wooden crate to hold more pillows Here's what it looks like today... I think I like it a lot more now :)

I love using Anya for my posts - she makes any picture pretty :) Here's what it looked like:

Now...

I had to paint the brown plywood on the night stands.. white and gold! :)
