Pups & Backyard Summers

Marriage has been a gift to me in so many ways. While we usually think about marriage as something that brings us and our partner together, there are so many elements that come along with it. For most its children and the joy they bring. For us, its our pups, how they've become such an integral part of our existence and our lil moments together!

Bailey & me

I started the post thinking I'll chat about Backyard Decor in Bohemian style, but I realized a big part of what our backyard is about is really our pups!

With the weather starting to get a little warm these days, well atleast here in the Bay we're seeing highs of 70s ... so we thought we'd break out the patio furniture and start spending more time outside! Our pups of course LOVE it out here :)

Styling the backyard I had a few simple things in mind. You guys may remember my post DIY Boho Backyard from last year. I decided to keep it mostly the same, just not as popping bright as the summer colors! So more muted pinks and pastel blues to keep the decor in keeping with the cooler temperatures of Spring!

Our pups absolutely adore the backyard. Its almost like they now wait for me to put out the rugs and mats so they can sunbathe on it! Gone are the days where Allie would just lay around in the sun on hard concrete! She now needs a couple layers under her!

And Bailey - he's for sure not gonna be found on the ground! He's right up on the Park Bench, sippin wine with mommy :) We love spending time out in the yard, watching the sunset and just taking a few moments to relax!

Now that its getting warmer, we also do a lot of morning breakfasts out here. I bring out my coffee, lets the pups sniff around while the hubby & I catch a few quick moments before we leave for the day.

We feel so bad Lily can't join us coz she's an indoor cat! She peers at us from behind the glass doors..poor lil girl! I wish we could let her out :)

If you are lucky to have a small backyard (or a huge one), do spend time there with your loved ones! Its somehow so calming at the beginning or at the end of the day!
