Healthy Pie Crust Pastry for Beginners
I'm back to blogging after a LONGGGG time! Lately, i've turned my DIY passions to baking - turns out it's incredibly fun and really gets my creative juices flowing. This is my very first attempt at making pastry, and I'm excited to try it out with a healthy twist. I decided to halve the traditional pie-crust recipe to make a single crust layer for the top of a pot pie. The plan is to pair this crust with a filling of spiced chicken and veggies, inspired by Indian flavors, for a cozy, comforting chicken pot pie. By using only one layer on top, Iām keeping things lighter while still getting that satisfying, flaky pastry finish. And, it turned out AMAZING! My husband and I inhaled the whole pie in 1 sitting.
